Summary

Jaco and the other Galactic Patrol agents converge on Planet Earth. When they land, Jaco stands at attention, but his fellow agents push him to get to the recruiting. Earth's warriors are all lined up and ready to do battle: Yamcha, Chiaotzu, Tenshinhan, Gohan, Piccolo, Kuririn, and Muten Rōshi. Yamcha thinks it is his chance to shine, and Chiaotzu says it has been so long, he hopes he can still fight. Jaco regrets having been put in charge of Earth, but he tells the "new recruits" to look sharp. Yamcha does not like this term at all; they are the veterans when it comes to protecting the Earth.

Gohan and Piccolo watch the sky; they know it will not be long. Kuririn asks Jaco why Goku and Vegeta are not here yet, and Jaco tells him that they sent a message to Goku, but they have no idea where Vegeta went. Kuririn thinks this is bad news, but Jaco reassures him; those two will definitely be showing up to settle their score with Moro.

At God's Temple, another Galactic Patrol ship lands, returning Majin Boo to Mister Satan. The agents tell Satan that Boo has been sleeping since his last battle, but Satan is just happy that he is okay. He warns the agents that they will answer to him if they try kidnapping Boo again. Dende asks Esca what Moro's spaceship looks like, and Esca tells him it is a big mothership shaped like a top with a lot of little scout ships. Mister Popo points at the sky, asking Esca, "Like that one?" Indeed, it is Saganbo's ship. As it descends to Earth, the scout ships fly off in different directions. Zauyogi's scout ship fires at a desert palace while the natives look on in terror; then Zauyogi himself lands and demands they hand over all of their treasures. Bikkura Koiter's ship attacks a northern castle.

The Earth warriors notice something is going on; Gohan asks Piccolo what is happening, and Muten Rōshi says the bad guys are attacking every corner of the world. Jaco tells them that they probably plan on stealing all of Earth's treasures before the main attack. Muten Rōshi suggests they should go after the convicts and leave the big boss to Gohan and Piccolo. He tells Kuririn they should get going, and Kuririn carries him on his back as he flies away. Gohan warns them to be careful. Tenshinhan tells Chiaotzu to join him, and Yamcha says he will go the other way.

The Galactic Patrol agents are ordered to split up and back up the Earthlings. Three of them catch up to Yamcha and tell him they are there to help. He is happy to see them, and tells them to follow him. Another group catches up to Kuririn and the Turtle Hermit. When they find their band of convicts near a jungle palace, Kuririn attacks Yunba, who seems amused to be fighting Kuririn again.[a] Kuririn tells Yunba he is not the same man as before; he has been training hard! Yunba says that is fine with him, and suggests they settle things.

Meanwhile, the Turtle Hermit notices three women behind Yunba. They tell Yunba that they do not care about his beef with this guy, so they are going to find somewhere else to play. Kuririn tells Muten Rōshi that this guy is faster than he looks, so they should rush him together, but the old man tells him he cannot rely on his master for everything; he can handle this guy alone. He is going after those nasty girls instead. As Kuririn watches him go, Yunba takes advantage and punches Kuririn into the nearby palace. Kuririn is annoyed, but he recovers quickly and resumes the fight with Yunba.

Shimorekka lands in front of Piccolo and Gohan, and Piccolo asks if he is alone this time. Shimorekka replies, "You wish," and then Seven-Three appears behind Gohan and Piccolo, grabbing them both by the neck. Shimorekka tells them that move came from a race of invisible people and mocks them for being dumb again. Whatever training they did is worthless now, since Seven-Three has copied everything they learned.

Seven-Three retreats to a tall rock and prepares to fire a Makankōsappō; Jaco recognizes Piccolo's technique, and Shimorekka tells Piccolo he is about to be sent to hell by his own move. But Gohan and Piccolo look at each other, and then Gohan steps in front of him and throws up a shield. Piccolo then fires his own Makankōsappō at the shield, pushing back Seven-Three's attack. The jungle fighters take a moment to register what is going on, and in the north, Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu watch the beam go off into space. Tenshinhan recognizes Piccolo's attack and realizes the fighting has started back there, too.

The blast has taken off Seven-Three's right arm and shoulders, plus a good chunk of his torso. Piccolo says that even with infinite stamina he will not be able to recover that quickly. Seven-Three regrows the arm, and Gohan tells Shimorekka that they were prepared for their abilities to be copied. Shimorekka says that sounds like a bluff to him, and he tells Seven-Three to switch to the other guy, since he is stronger. Seven-Three rips off his damaged shirt and switches to Gohan. He fires an energy ball; Piccolo and Gohan dodge together, and Seven-Three attacks them with rapid-fire blasts; Gohan rushes through them, hopping from blast to blast while Piccolo returns fire, and then he punches Seven-Three into a nearby lake. Jaco realizes that Seven-Three can only use one of them at a time, so he cannot win against their combination attacks. Seven-Three rises from the water, and Gohan says he will never lose to a copycat.

Yamcha is fighting some goons in a city when he observes that Piccolo and Gohan's training paid off. One of the goons complains that Yamcha is not as weak as he looks; Yamcha informs him that he is one of the three strongest Earthlings. Three goons square up to fight him and he dispatches them all with ease, instructing the Galactic Patrol agents to round them up. Then he senses more convicts some distance away, and suggests they go in that direction.

Gohan and Piccolo attack Seven-Three together with a combination Masenkōsappō.[b] Seven-Three is badly damaged; Piccolo asks Gohan if they got him, but Gohan says no, and if they do not finish him off, he will... Piccolo finishes that thought: he will use Moro's power again. Indeed, Shimorekka is already ordering Seven-Three to use it, or they will likely die. Seven-Three switches, and Shimorekka tells him to drain their energy, but now two new warriors have taken the place of Piccolo and Gohan: No. 17 and No. 18. They cut in as Seven-Three is preparing to drain their energy, kicking him and Shimorekka into the dust. Shimorekka looks up in consternation and asks who these guys are.

No. 17 asks which one is the Seven guy;[c] the one he kicked? No. 18 tells him that he was said to have no emotions, so probably. No. 17 thinks he is pretty weak, and asks Piccolo if they really need them. Piccolo insists they are the only ones who can finish this fight, since they have no ki to drain. Jaco congratulates Piccolo on the good thinking. Gohan asks No. 18 if Goten and Trunks are doing okay; she tells him they are having a blast on Monster Island; they were stoked when they heard they could fill in as rangers again.

No. 17 says they should make quick work of this. He does not like to gang up on enemies, but he will not allow them to wreck the Earth. No. 18 adds that Capsule Corp. is giving them ten million zenni to fight, so as soon as they clean up here, it's payday. No. 17 asks her not to make them look like mercenaries, but she says she does not fight for free.

On Saganbo's ship, Moro is growing frustrated with the escaped convicts; they did not even manage to meet his low expectations of them. Saganbo apologizes; apparently a group of formidable warriors has gathered on Earth. Moro says that is alright; that was the whole point of coming here, after all. He contemplates who he will devour first.

On Planet Yardrat, Vegeta fails his lesson again. He tells Pybara he wants to try again, but Pybara asks him to wait; can he feel the Earth's spirit? Vegeta says yes; the fighting started not long ago. Pybara's companion asks Vegeta if he does not want to get going, then, but Vegeta says there is no point until he has mastered this technique. And besides, Moro is not fighting yet; they still have time. The Yardratian thinks that is cutting it close, but Vegeta tells Pybara to take it from the top. The other Yardratian reminds him that it is Pybara-sama![d]

Meanwhile, Goku is lost in space. He stops on a planet inhabited by strange creatures with tentacles and hooded heads. He asks them which way is Earth, and one of them points a tentacle, telling him it is that way.
