"Cell’s Perfect Form, Interrupted?!" is the three hundred and seventy-ninth chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1992 #29 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Summary

Vegeta flies over to Cell, and asks if he really thinks he could win if he reached his perfect form. "That’s right!!! I absolutely wouldn’t lose!!! Power! Speed! Technique! Brains! Spirit! All of that, I’d be a perfect being. That’s what the computer told me." Then Vegeta kicks Cell and sends him flying. No. 18 says Vegeta seemed so weak when she fought him, but No. 16 says that doesn’t matter, something’s happened to him over the past few days. Kuririn gets even closer to them, and ducks behind a rock. He’s shaking, as he peeks over at No. 18. Vegeta walks over to Cell, and again asks Cell if he really thinks he could win if he reached his perfect form. Cell says he’s repeating himself, but yes, he undoubtedly would win. Vegeta looks interested, and Trunks worries about what his dad is thinking.

Kuririn thinks that he has to use this controller to stop No. 18 and destroy her so Cell can’t absorb her. He remembers when she kissed him on the cheek, and then he drops the controller. No. 18 hears it drop and looks over at him. She sees the controller, and knows what it is, wondering why he has it. Cell tells Vegeta that he knows how Saiyans are a fighting race, and they love to battle. So the stronger their opponent, the happier it makes them. He figures Vegeta would like to fight him in his perfect form, and Vegeta says he knows the Saiyans well. Vegeta says he’ll fall for his trick, so go ahead and become perfect. Cell flies off, but then Trunks, now Super Saiyan, gets in Cell’s way. Kuririn apologizes to Bulma, and then steps on the controller, smashing it. Then he tells her to run away and not get absorbed. She asks him why he did that, but Kuririn can’t answer. Cell yells at Vegeta about Trunks being in the way, but then he suddenly spots No. 18 on the island.
