K-249 is the Kanzenshuu catalogue number assigned to an unreleased piece of background music (BGM) composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi for Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenlong. The film premiered at Toei Manga Matsuri on 20 December 1986.

Overview

K-249 is the ninth iteration of Gourmeth's theme. It utilizes compositional techniques derived from spy music, not unlike Kikuchi's work on the Red Ribbon Army arc (early-to-mid 100s and early 300s). This style is used in action scenes with Pasta and Vongo. The piece is in F Minor, but it ends on the dominant (C7). The piece is given the title "Gourmeth's Army Sets Out" on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] the most common source for fan titles of Kikuchi's compositions.
