Notes

  • Japanese Wikipedia lists him working in a few Openings as an key animator (原画) where he is not credited. They are, Slam Dunk opening 2(Sakugabooru), Zatch Bell opening 1 & 3(Sakugabooru).
  • Also, in Japanese Wikipedia he is mentioned as doing layout (レイアウト) for Hyakko, 2nd key animation (第2原画) for Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Chapter 1]: Dawn of the Heroes, and key animation (原画) for Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon. We checked credits for all of those and did not see him credited.
  • He also did layout for some scenes in One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island[4].
  • He is layouts can be very detailed and true to life[5]
  • He and Mamoru Hosoda have worked on a lot of productions together, they still do.
  • He used to do a lot of doodles of anime characters when he was in high school[4]
  • His admiration for Takashi Nakamura and Yoshinori Kanada is what got him into animation[6].
