Well, I meant that they have different pronunciations in cases of other languages. Vegeta being pronounced the way I mentioned is in the Spanish dub.

" Karin " --> "ka" (like you're from Boston trying to say "car," but shorter) - "rin" ("r" is flipped like in Italian or "received pronunciation" English, "i" is like "sin" in in length, closer to "seen" in sound)

So is that "Ka-reen" or "Ka-rin"? Because I always pronounced it "Ka-reen" since ...

In the Bardock movie, you'll see that Goku was a baby and Vegeta was already fighting Saibamen (?). In the beginning of DB (correct me if I'm wrong), Goku's a kid (12 or so) and Buma was already in her teens.
