Re: Garlic Jr. Officialy Dismissed From Kai: Thoughts?
I actually don't mind the Garlic Jr mini-arc. But its removal was to be expected and it doesn't bother me. I can always just go and watch Z.

Re: Thoughts in comparison to Z?
I like Kai's new music, the voice-acting is adequate in general and Z's pacing did need to be chopped down. But however well-intentioned Kai is, I still feel it comes out as an inferior product.

Re: DBK English Trailer
I found the trailer quite good.
Wasn't expecting anything major to be done with the voices, but I think it can be taken from the trailer that the script and performances have been ramped up in quality, which is a good thing.
Definitely curious.

Re: Wow, the Japanese soundtrack is horrible!
I love the Japanese soundtrack, owning several CDs which I can listen to time after time, but I do agree with the flaws that have been pointed out. I just wish they'd expanded the idea of themes for characters further. They have a wonderful, memorable leitmotif for Piccolo for example, and I would ...

Re: Dragonball Kai dub?
Can't say I'm all that interested by this, since I've little interest in DB Kai to begin with. But, the prospect of an improved dub is intriguing.
Any word on how Sabat plans to handle Vegeta and Piccolo? Will he tone down the scratchiness for Vegeta for example, will it be a little closer to the ...

With YouTube getting progressively worse (in terms of both the site and its atrocious mismanagement and the hordes of annoying users who seem to get more ignorant and illiterate with every passing breath), I am going to slowly move all my stuff over to Veoh.

It seems Toei are just ploughing through any videos they find with DBZ content, there doesn't seem to be any criteria for it. I'm seeing AMVs, parodies, the whole works getting removed. If it has the footage, it's getting stepped on.
I dunno if this is setting a precedent for the future, or whether ...

Starting the series with Z is as stupid as starting a play from act II; absolutely NO context is given and SO much is lost. NOTHING is established for the neophyte viewer, characters with whole relationships are introduced seemingly out of nowhere with no explanation given (cause it's already been ...

To be honest, surviving a kick and being stronger than somebody are completely different things. I mean, the "kaoishin punch" thing certainly adds a different edge to this debate, but... I never really seriously considered it before.

I think it could've been an interesting addition to the DB universe had Freeza actually said something meaningful or unique in his so-called "native language".
But "let's get down to business".
Why would Freeza make the effort to say such a bland, throw-away comment in his "native tongue"? It's an ...

Ya' know Chu, I've agreed with you pretty much every step of the way about... practically everything about this movie. But I will say this, I did like a couple of actors in the film. Give James Marsters some slightly better prosthetic work & actual screen-time beyond cameo material, Chow Yun Fat a ...

While I actually find Faulconer's Score somewhat decent, even quite good at times myself, I have no real problem if they don't include it. There is already an adequate version with the music available via the bricks. I do think this release is aimed more squarely at more "hardcore" Japanese fans ...

I liked it, but there are flaws
I've just watched this. What did I think?
The music and editing was all pretty much perfect, a few minor things, but you'd really have to be nitpicking to complain about them.
Sound Effects were kinda weak.
As for the voices, they were a bit of a mixed bag in my view.
I kinda liked the narrator ...
