"A Surefire Kamikaze Attack!" is the four hundred and ninety-first chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1994 #46 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Summary

"Heeheehee, I'm so scary, I'm so scary~ Here I go, okay~ I'm really quite scary~", says the ghost. Buu is just confused, while Piccolo wonders what the Hell this is. Gotenks says Buu is dead now, and commands the ghost to do it. The ghost flies straight at Buu, and Buu easily backhands it. But, upon impact, the ghost explodes. Buu is all messed up, his body looking really contorted, and Gotenks excitedly explains that even slightly touching the ghost creates a huge explosion. Piccolo yells to hurry and finish off Buu. "Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack Ten-Ghosts-Together Finish!!!!" Gotenks spits out ten ghosts, all of which goof off a bit. Gotenks tells them to all fall in line, and face forward. Two of the ghosts begin arguing, and Gotenks yells at them to obey. Each ghost then shouts out their a number.

Piccolo interrupts him, saying that Majin Buu has already returned to normal. Gotenks is ticked off that Buu's taking all this so lightly, just sitting there drinking cream soda (and reading a car magazine). Gotenks calls him out, and so Buu stands up with his soda. Gotenks sends #1 and #2 at Buu, but Buu flies up at the last second, and the ghosts crash into each other. Buu sticks his tongue out and says he won't fall for the same trick twice. Gotenks calls for a huddle with the ghosts, and once they have a new plan, two ghosts high five each other and blow each other up. Gotenks says because of those two stupid ghosts, everyone but #10 should go along with the plan. Five of the ghosts fly at Buu, who readies himself, but then the ghosts stop and gather around something on the ground. The ghosts loudly wonder what this weird thing is, and Buu curiously creeps over to look at it. The five of them then jump at Buu, exploding and leaving Buu a gooey mess once again. Gotenks tells #10 to finish it by blowing up in Buu's mouth, which #10 does, and boom! Gotenks strikes a cool looking pose and gives two victory signs, saying it's all over.

-Goku says Majin Buu's ''ki'' has vanished, and Kaiōshin suddenly notices it as well. But they also can't feel the youngster's ''ki'' either. Old Kaiōshin says they've just been fighting in the Alternate Dimension of Time. Goku doesn't understand what he means, but then realizes it must be the Room of Spirit and Time. He wonders why they've been fighting in there, and Old Kaiōshin explains that the Namekian led Majin Buu in there for some reason. Goku compliments what an awesome Kaiōshin the old guy is, and Kaiōshin admits that he is relatively useless now.

However, there's a sudden gush of wind up into the sky and Majin Buu begins collecting above them. Buu reforms, and Gotenks realizes frying him didn't do any good after all, noting that Buu looks thoroughly pissed. Piccolo thinks they should have just wiped out Buu with their ''ki'' instead of burning him, and then to be sure, they should have destroyed the entrance to this room so that Buu would be sealed away in this world in a different dimension.

Gotenks dramatically exclaims it's all over, he has no more power for other attacks. Buu suddenly grabs Gotenks' leg with his forelock, and starts slamming Gotenks around. Gotenks, hanging upside down, calls Buu "baldy", which prompts him to punch Gotenks and send him flying. Gotenks is really angry now, and finally prepares to use his best technique, but... Piccolo suddenly destroys the entrance to the Room of Spirit and Time.
-Piccolo tells Buu it's all over, because he's destroyed the only entrance between the two worlds. There's no way out. Piccolo tells Buu that even if he kills them, he'll spend eternity alone in this empty world. Buu thinks of his beloved candy, and Piccolo says there's no candy here. Gotenks yells at Piccolo for having done that, since he still had his best technique left. Piccolo yells back at him, bringing up what he said about maxing out, and Gotenks says that it was a joke. Piccolo says this is no time for that, and the two of them call each other idiots. Buu, who hasn't been paying any attention to the two, suddenly starts fiercely screaming. His enraged screams are so loud that a hole opens up in front of him and God's Palace is visible through it.
