Dragon Ball: Volume F, the booklet provided to attendees during the theatrical premiere of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' in Japan, includes timeline information placing the film in Age 779.
The video game Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2 also places the events of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' in Age 779.

Age 779 is a fictional year in the timeline of the Dragon Ball franchise, during which Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F' and its retelling in Dragon Ball Super occur.

Freeza mounts an attack against Earth. Freeza destroys Earth, but Whis performs a Temporal Do-Over to rewind time by 3 minutes. Son Goku kills Freeza.[1][2]

Almost everyone on Earth (with the exception of Son Goku, Bulma, Turtle Hermit, Kuririn, Tenshinhan, Piccolo, Son Gohan, Jaco, Whis, and Beerus) dies when Freeza blows up the planet in a last-ditch effort to defeat Vegeta. However, Whis uses his Temporal Do-Over ability to reverse time to before this event occurred.[4][8]

  1. It is currently unknown exactly during which Age episodes 68 - 76 take place, as they could take place at either the tail end of Age 779 or in the earlier part of Age 780.
