Character Profiles
Character profiles are included on both discs; presented exactly as they were written.
Taught martial arts by his adoptive grandfather Gohan, who raised him out in the wilderness, Goku is very strong, agile, and fearless. He'll take on any fight no matter what the odds are if he thinks that someone has been wronged.
Krillin is a young boy who comes into action when he arrives to study martial arts under Master Roshi. Driven to be the best martial arts fighter, Krillin will do whatever it takes to win, even cheat. Krillin tries to keep up with Goku as they become the best of friends and friendly rivals.
An ancient and wise master of martial arts, Master Roshi has accumulated great power and wisdom. He is very old and hermitlike. Although he may appear quirky, frail and harmless, Master Roshi is indeed a great warrior. He is master of the "Kamehameha" a tremendous attack.
Yamcha is a powerful and feared warrior who can call upon the "Wolf-Fang Fist", a move he uses to vanquish his enemies. Initially, Yamcha seems more like a bully than a hero, but he comes around. Although he's incredibly cool, and under control, he is preposterously shy around women, especially Bulma.
Bulma is one independent and determined teen. She'll do whatever it takes to get what she wants and won't let anything stand in her way - not mountains, monsters, or pride. Bulma is also a mixed up teen with a quirk that won't allow her to shut-up. She's a mechanical genius who can operate and fix anything.
The plump warrior Yajirobe lived alone in the woods until a chance encounter with Goku thrust him into the adventure of his life. In possession of a dragon ball, Yajirobe attempts to outrun Goku who whill do anything to possess it. Yajirobe is soon won over by the promise of food at Korin's Tower and proves himself as Goku's valued alley.
In his first adventure since abandoning his evil former master, Tien joins Master Roshi and Chiaotzu in a feverish hunt for the dragon balls in an attempt to prevent King Piccolo from acquiring them himself. After learning a lethal technique, Tien must prepare himself to risk everything against the power of King Piccolo.
Chiaotzu is the long time companion of Tien, his former bodyguard. His soft features and child-like exterior hide the awesome power buried beneath. He is capable of destroying much larger opponents with his psychic powers, powers he also uses to communicate telepathically with Tien.
The mysterious Korin is the lone resident of the tower that bears his name. Legend says that atop Korin's Tower rests the Sacred Water, a mystical substance that enhances the strength of anyone who drinks it. But Korin does not give up his prize easily. His mind games are enough to thwart the most fervent pursuers.
A powerful being who once terrorized Earth, King Piccolo returns with the help of Emperor Pilaf and gang [sic]. Piccolo desires the power of the Eternal Dragon to restore his youth in order to rule the planet forever. With his evil henchmen eliminating the Earth's most powerful warriors one at a time, a collision course with an old enemy is inevitable!
One of Piccolo's offspring, Cymbal is charged with hunting down any person in possession of a dragon ball. His mission leads him to Goku and Yajirobe, who team up to defeat him. Because Goku ate Yajirobe's fish, Yajirobe decides to make Cymbal his lunch instead.
Tambourine is King Piccolo's most powerful servant. He goes to the World Tournament with orders to hunt down and destroy the Earth's top fighters so that Piccolo's hostile takeover is a smooth one. He mercilessly kills Krillin inducing Goku to gain revenge on his best friend's assailant.
