While it appears that very few CDs containing movie music were released, it is slightly misleading due to the amount of movie music releases on the various “CD Sets” for the franchise. These single-disc releases typically expanded upon what was available on the sets, however, with the first Ongakushū having more tunes within each movie’s track than the respective track on the five-disc daizenshuu set (most notable the song played when Goku forms the Genki-Dama in Dragon Ball Z Movie 3). Only the three Broli movies received their own individual soundtracks, with the addition of the 10th anniversary movie (whose music was also partially used in the Dragon Ball GT series, making this the only release of any of that series’ BGM).
Many Dragon Ball movies or feature presentations had their music released or included on separate compilations in addition to these single-disc releases. Be sure to check out some of the following releases for more movie-related content:
Our “Theme Guide” may also be helpful for further information on opening, ending, insert songs, and background music for the movies.
