New Ginyu theme is impressive and especially manly, I like.

Loved the episode, but I'm afraid I had the distinct impression throughout that Vegeta needed very badly to clear his throat.

I liked it, especially the faster pacing makes things seem much more urgent without the 'something happens, then take 5 minutes to stop and get everyone's opinion even if they're on the toilet' approach.

They do need at least another death/sad/grief theme though.

I always thought he sort of said that as a lame boast, possibly because Vegeta and Nappa wouldn't have had anything to do with a weakling like him before their homeworld got blown up. I think part of the reason it was abandoned was because it had a linear path of advancement that inevitably led to stage 3, and all of the drawbacks already stated.
