Well, he tries to fight him after he absorbs #18, but Cell puts up a barrier so he can transform in peace. Basically, it's like blocking a punch. I'd say that counts.

Eh, most of those are kinda weak. I actually came up with some trivia of my own a few years ago:

Namu vs. Ranfan is the only Budokai battle in which both characters are not pre-established.

Trunks is the only character who fights Cell in all three of his forms.

Mr. Satan does in fact die in GT ...

The main theories seem to be that either Freeza meant five minutes "Namek Time" or that they were just fighting really, really fast. It seems to me that that fight lasting 5 minutes is believable in the manga, but they really should have changed it in the anime.
