Just as a reminder, Toriyama didn't forget entirely the animals up to Cell Saga, since "The King of the World" (I don't know the name on the English dub) appears at the TV and watching the Cell Games.

Goku VS Majin Vegeta was one of the best things that the anime pulled off. The manga made me feel disappointed. It was a such epic moment, the rematch of the Sayans... And the manga just didn't show much of the fight.
