Hit is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball franchise, debuting as a fighter from Universe 6 in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō.
Biography
TBD[1]
Name
Hit's name (ヒット hitto) is likely a play on the word "hitman" (approximated as ヒットマン hittoman in Japanese), as the character himself is an assassin.
Production

A "Dragon Ball Super Completion Announcement Event" was held 01 July 2015 in Tokyo to promote the then-upcoming debut (and effective production completion of the first episode) of the Dragon Ball Super television series. Following a brief introductions from producer Atsushi Kido at the event, a message from Akira Toriyama was displayed onscreen; while the latter portion of his message had been previously published in V-Jump and was available on the series' official website, the former portion of his comments revealed new details of the series' plot:[2]
"Dragon Ball Super" is a complete continuation of the Majin Boo story arc. It's got a bit of post-battle aftermath, continues with the "Battle of Gods" arc where the God of Destruction Beerus appears and the "Resurrection 'F'" arc where Freeza comes back to life, and then, I've written a strange new story where they finally depart from this universe. They're fighting against their neighbors, Universe 6! They'll yell at me if I give away too many spoilers, so I'll keep the rest a secret, but they're chasing after giant Super Dragon Balls; I think things will unfold in a bright and simple way, that will be really fun and exciting!
— Akira Toriyama
Alongside other Universe 6 characters Cabba, Botamo, Frost, and Magetta (as well as Universe 7 "competitor" Monaka), Hit was designed by Akira Toriyama himself.
In the brief period of time in which the Dragon Ball Super manga was ahead of its television series counterpart, Hit initially debuted in the series' seventh chapter, released 19 December 2015 in the February 2016 issue of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine; the corresponding television episode content aired 21 February 2016.
Ahead of the character's television series debut, Toei's official Dragon Ball Super website shared social media icons for the various Universe 6 team members, serving as the debut revelation of the character's name as "Hit"[3][4]; the character would not be named in the manga until the following chapter[5], released just a few days later in the March 2016 issue of V-Jump, which also contained Toriyama's designs and brief write-ups for all five Universe 6 fighters:[6]
With his cool outfit that looks like he's wearing a long coat, no matter how you look at him there's no doubt this guy is a force to be reckoned with!! Even the name "Hit" smells of danger...
Additional details TBD.
Performance
Hit is played by Kazuhiro Yamaji in the Dragon Ball Super television series. He would later play Glover in the 2019 video game Jump Force.
In FUNimation's English dub of Dragon Ball Super, Hit is voiced by Matthew Mercer, though Aaron Roberts briefly played the role for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2.
Notable Appearances

Hit's primary appearance comes as part of the Dragon Ball Super series where he is introduced in the Universe 6 vs. 7 tournament arc, along with a return during the Tournament of Power.
Hit also appears as part of the Universe Mission storyline in the various Super Dragon Ball Heroes adaptations, including the promotional anime and the manga series by Yoshitaka Nagayama.
In terms of video game inclusions, Hit debuted in 2016 as a "Z-Assist" character via the 1.5.0 update in the Nintendo 3DS fighting game Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden[7][8], as well as fully playable in both Dragon Ball Fusions as well as in Dragon Ball XENOVERSE 2[9] (as part of the base roster, albeit needing to be unlocked with the Dragon Balls). Hit went on to appear as a fully playable character in various Dragon Ball Heroes games beginning with the... (check which mission he initially appeared in)...
