"The Dragon Team Parts Ways" is the twenty-third chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1985 #23 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary
The next morning everyone is reflecting on what had happened the previous night. Goku is still sleeping, and Bulma's vest has been placed over him to cover up his "man" area. Oolong thinks it was terrible that Goku put them in such a dilemma, but Yamcha thinks it was good, since it gave them the chance to escape. Bulma thinks it is best they don't tell him about what happened. Goku finally wakes up as Oolong wonders if Goku's an alien.
It doesn't take long for Goku to wonder where his clothes went. So Bulma tells Oolong to give him the underwear, but he refuses and instead gives him his pants. As Goku puts on the pants, he makes fun of Oolong for having such short legs. Goku suddenly falls over and Yamcha says it's probably because he isn't used to balancing without his tail. Goku then looks at his back, and can't believe his tail is gone, but then doesn't care, and everyone falls over. He wonders about his Nyoi-Bō now, and Yamcha says it's probably still at the castle. Goku falls down every few seconds as he runs over there to get it.
Oolong wonders what they should do now, since it'll be a year before they can use the Dragon Balls again. Bulma and Yamcha are both disappointed that it'll be another year before they get their wishes for a dreamy boyfriend and a woman to marry. They suddenly both get a realization and face each other. Goku then returns with Nyoi-Bō, falling down along the way, and asks Oolong why he's so annoyed. Oolong points over at Yamcha and Bulma, who are blissfully holding hands and dancing, along with Pu'er. Oolong doesn't like this it all, and Goku thinks they're acting strange.
Bulma tells Goku that she and Yamcha are going to the city, and asks Goku if he wants to come along. Goku says he really wants to go train with Kame-Sen'nin to get stronger. Bulma asks Oolong what he'll do, and he decides he'll go to the city too, since there'll be lots of girls. Goku wants to gather the Dragon Balls again in a year, but Bulma and Yamcha say they don't need them anymore. Goku still wants to find his Grandpa's memento, but doesn't know how to find them, so Bulma gives him the Dragon Radar as a present. Yamcha pulls out a capsule, and out comes an airplane. He tells Goku to do his best with Muten Rōshi. Goku then calls for Kinto-Un, and they all say "bye bye" and go their separate ways.
