"Goku's Great Transformation" is the twenty-second chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1985 #22 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary
Goku begins walking around, continuing to smash up the castle. Yamcha then realizes that Goku has released them from their prison, and pointlessly tells Goku to turn back to normal now. Goku busts into the room where Pilaf, Shuu, and Mai are sleeping, and the three of them start running for their lives. Meanwhile, the others take the opportunity to climb out of their prison cell. The pajama-clad Pilaf group quickly runs to the castle hangar, jump into a plane, and swiftly take off. Yamcha then grabs Bulma, Oolong, and Pu'er, carrying them all under his arms, and runs. Goku notices the plane flying away, and grabs a tower off of the castle to throw at them. He lets it rip and it's a direct hit. The plane crashes, and the castle tower lands over near Yamcha and the others.
Pilaf, Mai, and Shuu have all survived, as have Yamcha, Oolong, and Pu'er. Bulma, however, is stuck under the castle piece, and Goku comes stomping along before Yamcha can get her out from under the tower. Pu'er reminds him about Goku's tail being his weak point, and so Yamcha thinks it must also be this monster's weak point. Yamcha grabs onto the tail, and Goku stops, and so he tells Pu'er to turn into a pair of scissors to cut off the tail. With that, Goku regresses back to normal, and he's left asleep and naked while Yamcha holds his severed tail.
