M229 is the official catalogue number of a piece of background music (BGM) composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi for Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenlong. The film premiered at Toei Manga Matsuri on 20 December 1986.

Overview

M229 includes minor elements of Chinese traditional music that might be intended to reference Yamcha's introduction in K-225. The full composition is part c of the suite entitled "The Legend of Shenlong", which is track #2 on disc #2 of the Daizenshuu.

M229 is given the title "Goku Vs. Yamcha" on The Suburbs of kenisu's Magicant,[1] the most common source for fan titles of Kikuchi's compositions.
