Planet Yardrat is home to the Yardratians, a race of aliens capable of peculiar techniques such as Teleportation.

Name

Yardrat and some of its inhabitants are named after various kinds of rodents. Yardrat itself a simple combination of the words "yard" and "rat". Two of the Yardratians encountered by Vegeta during his training, Pybara and Hatsuka, owe their names to capybaras and the Japanese terminology for house mice (ハツカネズミ; hatsuka-nezumi) respectively.

Jimizu, a Yardratian from Universe 2's Yardrat, does not follow this naming scheme.
