最近東京にくることが多くなり、めっきりナウくなってきた!?
Recently, I've been coming to Tokyo more often, and I've gotten noticeably now-ier!?
The word "now-y", which shows up a fair bit in Dr. Slump, is an early-Eighties neologism meaning "hip", "fashionable", "with the times". It fell out of use by the time of Dragon Ball, making only a single appearance in the Q&A at the end of Dragon Ball Tankōbon Volume 1. Only its opposite, dasai (meaning "unhip" or "unfashionable"), survived to the present.
