"The Worn-Out Warriors" is the two hundred and thirty-ninth chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1989 #39 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary
Vegeta walks forward a bit, talking about how these pieces of trash have scarred his pride, and then stops and unleashes a huge shockwave. There is a huge explosion, and Yajirobe is blown away. Kuririn, Goku, and Gohan are all still lying around, and Vegeta decides to take care of them once and for all. Vegeta is still really weak, but then regains his composure and flies over to Gohan. He suddenly notices that Gohan's tail has grown back. Kuririn realizes it is just like when Goku had his tail. Vegeta looks up into the sky and notices his Power Ball is still active, and prepares to cut off Gohan's tail.
Suddenly, there is a scream... Vegeta turns around, and Yajirobe is coming at him. Yajirobe slashes his sword down Vegeta's back, cutting through his armor. Vegeta falls over, and Yajirobe begins to celebrate his victory. But then Vegeta slowly works his way back up, and Yajirobe apologizes, saying it was just a joke and that they should be on the same side. Vegeta kicks Yajirobe away from him, and then goes over and punches him in the face, sending him flying into some rocks. Goku suddenly yells at Gohan to look up at the ball of light in the sky, and Vegeta then runs over to try and stop Gohan... but it is too late; Gohan has started to transform!
