The location, somewhere between Ginger Town and Kame House, was featured in Dragon Ball Z Episode 146, written by Aya Matsui. It was unnamed in the original anime, but given the name "Basil Town" in Daizenshuu 7: Dragon Ball Large Encyclopedia,[1] most likely because it is also the location of Basil Airport. Imperfect Cell attacked this area while powering up to fight the other artificial humans but was pushed back by Kuririn, Piccolo, and Tenshinhan.

Basil Town's name is based on the herb, "basil". Daizenshuu 7 likely chose this name for the town as a back-formation from "Basil Airport", the location of Kuririn's and Cell's battle in the episode.
