Nicky Town is a fictional location in the world of Dragon Ball by Akira Toriyama. It is a suburb or satellite city near Metro West, developed in anime-only material written by Katsuyuki Sumisawa and Hiroshi Toda. It was featured as one of the areas attacked by Imperfect Cell as he powered up prior to absorbing the other artificial humans, 17 and 18.
General Overview
Nicky Town is a city located in the same region as West City, 80 kilometers by highway from Ginger Town. It is a small city with parks, restaurants, and shopping. Nicky Town also plays host to a Battle Ball team, the Nickies.[1] During Age 767, the location was attacked by Cell as he sought power to confront the other Artificial Humans, killing many of the citizens. Tenshinhan and Piccolo arrive too late and are unable to confront Cell who is hiding inside of an apartment building.[2] The citizens were likely revived later in the year after the people killed by Cell were revived by the dragon balls.[3]

Name
Like several other places created for the Imperfect Cell arc, Nicky Town's name is based on an herb or spice, in this case cinnamon. "にっき" (Nikki) is an alternate spelling for cinnamon, although Nicky Town in the anime is spelled using the katakana forms.
Production
Due to the production schedule inherent in producing a weekly anime series based on a weekly comic, the writers of Dragon Ball Z interjected anime-only material both as a means of extending the runtime and to flesh out the Dragon Ball universe. Nicky Town and related events were created to elaborate on Cell's escape from Piccolo in Dragon Ball Chapter 364.

- ↑ Nicky Town is explicitly named in episodes 144 and 145 of Dragon Ball Z as Cell rampages from Ginger Town, to eventually arrive in the Southern Zone three days later. Episode 146 continues Cell's rampage and the anime but is ambiguous whether Cell is still in Nicky Town or has moved on to another region. Daizenshuu 7 places at least some of the events in that episode in Basil Town instead. ("Earth Section", page 256)
