"Thinking About the Future of Comics"
Akira Toriyama, Class 1-4
I write a comic in a book called "Shonen Jump". It's a very difficult story, so sometimes, my head hurts a lot.
Everyone says to me, "You're a real bumpkin! A hillbilly!" and I think so, too. Yaaay, yaaay.
The end.
— Akira Toriyama
Viz includes their own English translation of Toriyama's words on the first page of their print and digital editions with the illustration printed in greyscale.
List of Chapters
This volume does not omit any chapter title pages. The only title page for chapter 50 is at the end: "This has been 'Suffering Santa Claus.'" (さんざんサンタさんの巻でした Sanzan Santa-san no Maki deshita). The chapter premiere dates listed below are based on the sale date of their respective issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump, which is when that issue of the magazine officially went on sale.
