Foldout poster illustration as reprinted in Daizenshuu 1.
"Legend 3" is the third "Digest Edition" (sōshūhen) volume of the Japanese manga series Dragon Ball, with the sub-title, "Red Ribbon Army Arc (Part 1)". This volume compiles chapters 55 thru 83 as originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump, 1986 #05 to 1986 #33. Recreating the chapters as they were originally serialized, each chapter included in the volume retains its original color pages and title, logo, promotional slogans and text, and next issue preview.
Illustrations
The Goku illustration featured on the volume's cover was originally drawn by Akira Toriyama as part of the large foldout poster for Weekly Shōnen Jump 1986 #12, in celebration of the series' first anniversary. The insert poster included in this volume is the original large foldout poster published alongside chapter 73 in Weekly Shōnen Jump 1986 #23.
