Dragon Ball Z Part 3 No. 5 is the twenty-eighth issue of Viz's "Dragon Ball Z" monthly comics, the original English-language printing of the Dragon Ball manga. It was released in June 2000 alongside the twenty-eighth issue of the "Dragon Ball"-branded chapters. All pages in this issue were originally printed in black and white.

The title page of chapter 249 appears on page in its original black and white. The title page for chapter 250 is omitted.
Cover Illustration
This issue's Akira Toriyama cover illustration was drawn for the cover of Dragon Ball Tankōbon Volume 21, in which these two chapters appear. The volume went on sale on 10 April 1990 in Japan. The illustration gets a quarter-page reproduction in Dragon Ball Chōgashū ("A Visual History").[1]
Advertisements
Page 32 is an eBay advertisement featuring a Superman figure. This ad is reproduced on the page for "Dragon Ball" Part 3-1.
Page 33 is a notice of Rumiko Takahashi's appearance at San Diego Comic-Con 2000 (July 20-23). This ad is reproduced on the page for "Dragon Ball Z" Part 3-6.
The back cover is a full-color advertisement for the Pioneer release of Tenchi Universe.
