Summary
Summary
Cell repeats his threat to destroy the entire Earth, and Gohan looks worried. Gohan thinks, "Father, I’m sorry. I couldn’t protect the Earth from Cell. The Earth I was supposed to be able to protect..." Vegeta weakly sits up, and tells Gohan he’s sorry for being in the way. "For Vegeta to apologize... He must have realized there’s absolutely nothing else that can be done..." Piccolo then gets really pissed at the situation. Cell powers up for the Kamehameha, disrupting the entire Earth, and says now he has the power to destroy the entire solar system. People in cities around the world wonder about the sudden earthquakes. The announcer says that Cell is now shining with a weird light, and making everything shake. Satan insists it’s a trick. Cell dares Son Gohan to show him a last defense. Gohan says to just do it, they both know any counter he does is useless. Cell thinks this’ll be a boring, quick final scene then.
Gohan powers back up, making his own crackly lightning return, and he smirks. Cell asks what is so funny, and Gohan says he will be happy to get revenge for his father. Cell says he will not do as well this time. Vegeta turns around to look back at Trunks, very shocked. And then he screams "SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!", and flies at Cell, turning Super Saiyan along the way. Vegeta fires a huge blast at Cell, and then a whole bunch more. The area explodes, and when Vegeta lets up, Cell comes out of the smoke, undamaged. Vegeta cannot believe it, and Cell smacks Vegeta away, sending him into the ground. Cell then prepares to finish Vegeta off, and fires a blast at him. But Gohan suddenly flies over to Vegeta and takes the hit instead. There is a big explosion, and when the smoke clears, Gohan is lying on top of Vegeta, and the ground around them is destroyed.

"You’re not giving up are you, Gohan?!" Gohan looks around for his father, asking where he is. "In That World! With Kaiō’s help, I’m getting to talk to you. Throw out your own all-out Kamehameha!! If you do, you can win!! Definitely!!" Gohan says he can’t even use his left arm, and his ki has gone way down. Cell thinks he’s so scared, as he’s talking to himself. "It’s okay, you can win!! Believe in your own power!! Show me to the end... The power we’ve both made!" Gohan says he’ll do what he can. "Good luck! At this rate, if you can’t do it, then we’ve just died like dogs. Avenge us!" Gohan apologizes to his father for causing his death. "Don’t worry about it! I’ll have fun here with Kaiō! You have fun being alive on Earth! Okay?!!" Gohan says okay.
Gohan had taken the brunt of the blast with his left arm, and now Gohan stands up, with his left arm bloody and limp, with that half of his shirt missing. Piccolo screams "Gohan!!!", while Kuririn curses that stupid Vegeta, since Trunks can be returned to life with the Dragon Balls. Cell says the fun is over, since he will end it now. Gohan thinks Cell's power has gone up a lot more than he thought. Piccolo asks if there are any more senzu, but Kuririn says they have all been used up. Cell prepares for a Kamehameha, and says he will not forgive any of them. He will destroy the entire Earth, and Gohan looks worried.

Gohan gets serious, surprising Cell and everyone else. With his one hand, "Ka...me...ha...me..." Gohan manages to make a lot of power flare up around himself, just like Cell did. Both of them are all powered up, and Piccolo says Gohan can’t win, his ki is definitely the weaker one. Cell launches his Kamehameha, and then Gohan launches his own one-handed one. And then Goku, with his hands in Kamehameha form, appears right behind Gohan.
