Universe Nine is called the "Underhanded Universe". Their rank at the beginning of the Tournament of Power is No. 12 out of 12.[1] The universe is ruled by the Kaiōshin Rou, the God of Destruction Sidra, and his attendant Angel Mohito.

Rou is known for using vulgar language unfitting of a Kaiōshin, but he thinks himself clever[2] and tends to make fun of other universes.[3]Rou's name pun is unknown, but many Kaiōshin appear to have been named after deities, and Louhi (ロウヒ/Rouhi), a wicked queen and witch of Finnish mythology, is a likely source for his name.[4] "Rō" (老 meaning "old" or "elder") has been used before in the series in reference to the Elder Kaiōshin who had been locked away in the Z-Sword several generations prior. |

Sidra (シドラ)
Sidra is indecisive and normally cannot bring himself to destroy anything, often suffering from depression due to his responsibilities,[5] but he destroyed an entire planet of people who rioted in fear of the destruction of their universe.[6] Sidra's name comes directly from the katakana spelling of the Spanish word for "cider", shidra (シドラ/shidora). The word used to refer to alcoholic "cider" in Japanese is "cidre" (シードル/shīdoru). Cider is an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juice of apples. Sidra's name pun follows the theme of Gods of Destruction and Angels being named after alcoholic beverages.[4] |

Also known as "Poison Lavenda", he is the middle brother of Trio the Dangers. Lavenda manipulates poison freely and never wins by any other means.[8] Lavenda's name is a modified form of the Japanese transliteration of "lavender" (ラベンダー/rabendā), an aromatic evergreen shrub of the mint family, with narrow leaves and bluish-purple flowers. Its dried flowers and leaves are often used as culinary herbs, while their oils are used commercially for scent applications.
