Beerus's planet is the home of Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7, and his guide angel, Whis. The planet first appears in the theatrical film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, which premiered 30 March 2013 in Japan. The planet makes subsequent appearances in the Dragon Ball Super series and various video games.
Overview
Name
Beerus's planet is never given a proper name in the main continuity; it is always called Birusu no hoshi (ビルスの星), literally "Beerus's planet". However, in the Saikyō Jump publication of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission!! Chapter 1, it is called Birusu-sei (ビルスの星), or "Planet Beerus", in the splash text on the chapter's first non-colored page. Production
In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, some of the background and building designs feature a snake or lizard aesthetic. Prior to Akira Toriyama revising a significant amount of the film's script and character designs, Beerus was slated to be a lizard[1] that had originally infected the Saiyans with evil.[2]
