Vinesal is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball franchise, debuting as prisoner and escapee of the Galactic Patrol in chapter 50 of the Dragon Ball Super manga's original "Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc", originally published 20 July 2019 in the September 2019 issue of Shueisha's V-Jump magazine.

Biography

Vinesal is released from Galactic Prison[1] as a result of Moro's wish on the Namekian Dragon Balls.[2] When Saganbo invites all of the other prisoners to join him, Vinesal seems surprised, but he is never seen again afterwards.[a]

Name

Interstitial page following chapter 59 in the thirteenth collected volume of the Dragon Ball Super manga.[3]

Vinesal's name is only seen in an interstitial page following chapter 59 in the thirteenth collected volume of the Dragon Ball Super manga, and it is written in alien glyphs which are derived from Japanese characters.[4] The card appears to read as corresponding to "ビネソル" (Binesoru), which is likely derived from "salt and vinegar" (ソルト soruto & ビネガー binegā).

Performance

Thus far, Vinesal appears exclusively in the Dragon Ball Super manga; as such, no voice has been assigned.

Notes

  1. There is at least one character on New Namek with similar horns, but close-ups reveal a different ear shape, and they are colored differently in the digital color edition.
