"Kick-Starting the Super Decisive Battle!!" is the three hundred and seventh chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1991 #05 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Summary
Goku senses that everyone is very close. Meanwhile, Freeza continues choking Vegeta with his tail, and finally tosses him into a nearby mountain. Vegeta lays on the ground, covered in rubble. Freeza says this is boring, like Vegeta is not even trying to fight. "It's a bit soon, but shall I deliver the final blow?!" Goku then zooms off, and arrives just as Freeza is about to finish Vegeta. Goku walks past Piccolo, noting that he really was the one with the mysterious huge ki. He also walks past Kuririn and Gohan, apologizing for being so late. Kuririn and Gohan wonder if it is really him. "So you're Freeza. You're more of a runt than I thought..." Freeza says there is still more scum around. Goku tells Freeza that Vegeta promised to fight him, so he should not interfere. Freeza looks at Goku and thinks he has seen him somewhere before.
Vegeta mumbles "Kakarrot", and Freeza knows that is a Saiyan name. He suddenly remembers that he looks just like the Saiyan who opposed him to the very end when he destroyed Planet Vegeta. That was Goku's father, Bardock. Vegeta thinks, "Kakarrot is nothing like before... He's climbed over the walls of his limitations... He's a S-Super Saiyan...!?" Freeza charges at Goku, but Goku simply kicks him in the face and sends him flying. Freeza catches himself and lands, then laughs. He points his finger at Goku to fire a finger beam again, and the others quickly scatter and tell Goku to do the same. Freeza unleashes a bunch of little blasts, but Goku stands still and just swats them all away. Freeza cannot believe this, and Vegeta starts to laugh, and says that he is definitely the thing Freeza has feared the most, a Super Saiyan. Freeza's eyes widen. "That's right! The legendary strongest warrior in the universe, a Super Saiyan... Fufufu... Freeza... it's all over for you... Serves you right...!!" Freeza suddenly shoots Vegeta through the chest and says, "You should know that I don't like stupid jokes..."
