Dragon Ball Super: Great Expectation?! is a one-page promotional comic for the Dragon Ball Super manga series by Toyotarō. It was first published in Japan on 03 July 2015 in the Super Start Guide which was released shortly after the publication of the first Dragon Ball Super manga chapter on 20 June 2015. The Super Start Guide includes promotions for the God of Destruction Champa arc, the first Super-original arc which was to premiere in Toyotarō's manga. "Great Expectation?!" was reprinted in greyscale in Dragon Ball Super Volume 1.
Synopsis
Champa: the mysterious character appears. Is this the beginning of a new battle?! Goku and Vegeta do not know what to make of this fat cat who looks like Beerus, and sure enough, Goku discovers an air supply behind Champa, pumping him up! Goku unplugs the air from the bung and Champa deflates into Beerus. Goku and Vegeta are dumbfounded. Even Whis seems shocked. Gohan wonders what they are doing, and Kuririn thinks it might be some kind of plot for the story. Toyotarō asks: What if this were a real plot twist? In any case, he is pumped about the new series!
