"Farewell, Warriors" is the four hundred and eighteenth chapter of the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. It was first published in Japan in the 1993 #19 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.

Summary

Shenlong tells them to hurry up, unless they have no more wishes. They try to think of another wish, and Yamcha says how the girl he has been dating has wanted an expensive necklace. Then Kuririn suddenly asks Shenlong to return No. 17 and No. 18 back into normal humans. Shenlong says he cannot do that, their powers far exceed his own. No. 18 is still watching, and she is surprised. Yamcha wonders why he said No. 17 too, he should be dead. Piccolo says they revived everyone killed by Cell with the first wish, so No. 17 is probably alive again now. Then Kuririn tries a different wish, to remove the destructive devices from No. 17 and No. 18's bodies. Shenlong says he can do that, and then bids them farewell. Shenlong disappears, the Dragon Balls scatter, and the sky turns back to normal.

Trunks asks why he made that wish, and Kuririn says he just felt bad for them, having bombs in their bodies. No. 18 gets a thoughtful look on her face. Kuririn apologizes to Yamcha about his girlfriend and the necklace, and Yamcha laughs and says that was just a gag. Tenshinhan asks Kuririn why he asked for No. 17's bomb too, and Kuririn nervously says that he likes No. 18, but she probably likes No. 17, so... Piccolo says he does not understand this "love" stuff. Then No. 18 comes out of hiding and yells that she and No. 17 are twins. And she says she will not thank him for getting rid of the bomb. But then she calms down and just says, "See you later", and flies away. Yamcha tells Kuririn that there is some hope in "See you later". Piccolo says he does not understand it at all.

Kuririn says he can only be partially happy. He will miss Goku. Tenshinhan says he is going home, since Chiaotzu is probably worried. He thinks they will probably not meet again. They all say goodbye, and Gohan tells him to say hi to Chiaotzu. Tenshinhan tells Trunks to take out the artificial humans in his future, and then he flies off. Yamcha says they should go too. Gohan asks Trunks when he is going back to the future. Trunks says he will stay the night, and leave tomorrow. Gohan asks Piccolo if he is going to live here now, and Piccolo says that is the plan. Gohan asks if he can come play sometimes, and Piccolo says of course. Then Gohan says goodbye to Dende and Mister Popo, and flies off with Trunks, Yamcha, and Kuririn. They all wave to Karin and Yajirobe on the way down, and head their separate directions.

Yamcha and Trunks go the same direction, and Trunks asks about his dad. Yamcha explains that Vegeta got pissed when Trunks was killed, and attacked Cell. Trunks is actually happy to hear that. At the Son house, Chi-Chi cries, and Gohan comforts her. The next day... Everyone (Dr. Brief, Bulma's mom, baby Trunks, Gohan, Kuririn, Yamcha, Pu'er, and the Turtle Hermit) is all dressed up nice, as Bulma shakes Trunks' hand (his hair is cut again, and he is back in his original outfit). Trunks looks to the side, and sees Vegeta standing against a tree, giving him a two finger salute. Trunks smiles and leaves in his time machine, and everyone waves goodbye. There is an image of Goku with them.

-In West City, in Trunks’ future... Trunks returns with his time machine, and tells his mom he’s back. Bulma is glad to see him, and says he’s really grown. He explains about going into the Room of Spirit and Time at God’s Palace, where he got a year’s training in one day. Bulma doesn’t really understand, but says she’s glad to see him come home safely. She asks what happened, and some time passes, and he has explained everything. Goku died after all, but Gohan avenged him. Trunks says his dad really was a cold person, but he did get angry when he was killed by Cell. Bulma is surprised to hear that. Then there’s a news update that the artificial humans are attacking Parsley City. Trunks prepares to leave, telling Bulma it’ll be okay this time. He takes off his jacket, and turns Super Saiyan. She tells him to be careful, and then he heads off.

Then Trunks arrives, and says he’s going to finish them today. No. 17 is surprised Trunks is still alive, and No. 18 wants to kill him. No. 17 says to do as she likes. No. 18 fires a blast at him, but Trunks simply swats it away, and then flies over to her, blowing her up with one blast. No. 17 can’t believe he could do that. Trunks says that was for all of his friends they’ve killed. Now this will be for Gohan. He flies over to No. 17 and kicks him in the face, and then blows him up too. Trunks says, "It’s over. ...No, not yet. There’s an important one left."

To reach your perfect form." Cell comes out from behind the building, shocked he knows all this. "That plan is flawed. And this will end everything!"
