Grand Apron is a mountainous, canyon-filled region of Earth located southwest of East City. In Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans, an OVA side-story developed by Bandai and written by Takao Koyama, Son Goku destroyed a Destron Gas machine that had been hidden on a mesa in this region.
General Overview

Very little information is provided about Grand Apron in the series. Located inland from East City, a region dominated by its islands and coastline, Grand Apron appears largely uninhabited. While exploring, Son Goku discovered dinosaur eggs on a mesa and the area may be solely wilderness.

By Age 739, a local East City baseball team may have been named "APON" in honor of the Grand Apron region, however the meaning of the "APON" logo has not been clarified and it may refer to something else.[1]
In Age 767, Doctor Raichi hid a Destron Gas generator on one of the mesas. It was located by God and related to Son Goku who traveled there to destroy it.[2]
Name
"Grand Apron" is written in katakana, implying an English or foreign term. The exact meaning of "Apron" intended is unclear. In English, an "apron" may mean "a small area adjacent to another larger area or structure" or "an extensive outspread deposit of sediment, typically at the foot of a glacier or mountain", however neither of these fit for the craggy mountainous region described in the OVA.
Notes
- ↑ Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans was never officially licensed in English and Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans does not include this location.
