Frustrated over how healthy Goku has kept himself and feeling indignant that he isn't smaller anymore, Ultimate Shen Long acknowledges their troubles as a wish to turn Goku into a child. As the Dragon Balls scatter, the Pilaf Gang feel deflated from yet another failure. | |||
North Kaiou is flabbergasted that the Dragon Balls hidden deep within God's Temple are still active. In order for Goku to return to normal, it's required to gather those Dragon Balls across planets all over the North, South, East, & West Galaxies instead of within a singular planet. Goku finds that simple enough and flies off. Elsewhere, after a shootout, bank robbers are bargaining their hostage in exchange for a car, airplane, and cups of ramen noodles (to be taste tested by their victim). | |||
Close by, Pan is having a date with Pobel and they catch wind of the hostage situation. Displeased by the proposition of a movie date being ruined from angry robbers agitated from receiving drugged noodles, she intervenes. Goku attempts enter the bout after having his lunchtime ruined by the robbers. However, with Pan viewing him as an innocent child, she forcefully removes him from the action and resolves matters herself. Despite the heroics, she finds herself dumped yet again. | |||
Meeting up with Kame-Sen'nin, Goku's ki is recognized despite the new body and everyone finds out they all know each other already, to Goku's joy and Pan's chagrin. Back home with Gohan, Chi Chi, Videl, & Pan, North Kaiou contacts Goku to alert him of a terrible truth. If they don't find the Ultimate Dragon Balls again, Earth will be destroyed within a year from that day! | |||

"The Mysterious Dragon Balls Appear!! Goku Becomes a Child?!" is the first episode of the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball GT. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 07 February 1996, receiving a ratings share of 19.6%. The episode was scripted by Aya Matsui and directed by Osamu Kasai.
Synopsis
Five years after Goku's departure with Oob during the 28th Tenka'ichi Budoukai, the Pilaf Gang secretly scale God's Temple in search for the Ultimate Dragon Balls.
