"Donbe's Story" is the eighth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dr. Slump: Arale-chan. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 03 June 1981. The episode was written by Tomoko Konparu and directed by Akinori Nagaoka.

Part A of this episode is filler setting up Part B, which is adapted from Dr. Slump Chapter 22: "Donbe's Story". Chapter 22 of the manga was moved to Dr. Slump Tankōbon Volume 3 to avoid breaking up the two-part story "The Great Strawberry-Panties Caper" (adapted in the Episode 9), making Chapter 22 the 26th chapter in all collected volumes.

Synopsis

Donbe, a fox who loves to play pranks, disguises himself as Ms. Yamabuki and tries to eat the school's lunch, but Arale and her friends figure him out. When he approaches Arale and the others to get revenge, he gets caught in a trap and becomes injured.
