"Looking Towards Tomorrow!・Arale Is Akane?!" is the sixteenth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dr. Slump: Arale-chan. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 29 July 1981. The episode was written by Masaki Tsuji and directed by Masayuki Ōzeki.

This episode has two distinct parts: Part A adapts Dr. Slump manga Chapter 9: "1980: Looking Towards Tomorrow!" and Part B adapts Chapter 7: "Arale Is Akane?!". Part B has its own prologue and title card.
