Name
Jheese's name (ジース/Jiisu) comes from the English word "cheese" (チーズ/chiizu). Toriyama changed the first consonant.
This is a pun on cheese.

The other members of the Ginyu Special Force are named after dairy products as well: Ginyu (ギニュー/Ginyū) from the Japanese word for cow's milk (牛乳/gyūnyū), Butta (バータ/Bāta) from "butter" (バター/batā), Reacoom (リクーム/Rikūmu) from "cream" (クリーム/kuriimu), and Gurd (グルド/Gurudo) from "yogurt" (ヨーグルト/yōguruto). Freeza's underlings all take their names from items one might find in a refrigerator.
