Synopsis

God takes Goku's body to the afterlife to meet with Great King Enma, the judge of the dead. God says that before Goku will be brought back to life with the Dragon Balls, he will train under Kaiō, who stands at the peak of all the gods in the universe. After receiving permission from Enma to meet Kaiō, Goku begins running along the Serpent Road, said to be as long as a million kilometers. Meanwhile, Piccolo steals the unconscious Gohan from Bulma and the others, and takes him to a deserted land. Upon testing out Gohan's dormant power, Piccolo tells Gohan to strengthen himself so as to be able to draw that power out.
