"Friends with Mr. Bear!・New Invention! Tiny-Huge Ray Gun" is the fifth episode of the Japanese animated television series Dr. Slump: Arale-chan. The episode first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on 13 May 1981. The episode was written by Tomoko Konparu and directed by Hiroyuki Ikeda.
This episode has two distinct parts: Part A adapts Dr. Slump manga Chapter 6: "Friends with Mr. Bear!" and Part B adapts Chapter 8: "The Tiny-Huge Gun!". Part B has its own prologue and title card.
Synopsis
Arale secretly rescues a bear that had been locked in a cage. The bear is relieved when Arale returns him to the mountain, but then he is shot by a hunter. In the second half, Senbei invents a ray gun that can freely change the size of objects. Senbei tries to shrink something for Yamabuki-sensei to show her his strong points...[1]
