Pan is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Pan makes her debut in chapter 518, published in the 1995 #24 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump, as the granddaughter of Son Goku.

Biography

Pan is the daughter of Son Gohan and Videl, born in the year Age 779.

On 07 May, Age 784, Pan entered the 28th Tenka'ichi Budōkai, becoming the youngest participant to ever enter the tournament and defeated her first round opponent Mō Kekko.

Name

The word "pan" is Japanese for bread, similar to her father Gohan's name meaning rice.
