Summary
Vegeta punches Moro, and Gohan observes that it barely fazed Moro. No. 18 thinks that Vegeta sure puffed himself up but he cannot deliver. Moro tells Vegeta that while he has clearly gotten stronger, he is still not a match for him, but Vegeta attacks again, punching Moro repeatedly. Piccolo says Vegeta really has gotten a lot stronger; he barely recognizes him. But Moro's level cannot be overcome with training alone. Moro suggests that Vegeta give up and kicks him away. He compliments him again on his new power and says he will make for his finest meal yet. Then Vegeta attacks again, and Gohan wonders what has gotten into him. Jaco suggests that maybe he cannot accept he is losing and he is going berserk. Piccolo says he doubts it; Vegeta has never been one to misread an opponent's strength.
Moro tells Vegeta to cut out the nonsense, but Vegeta punches him again and then starts kicking him repeatedly. Meanwhile, Goku seems to have figured out what Vegeta is doing. Moro grabs Vegeta and throws him to the ground so hard he makes a deep hole, but Moro is out of breath. He looks at his hands, confused, while Vegeta climbs out of the ground, smiling. Goku takes this as confirmation that he was right. Moro attacks, and Vegeta dodges, then kicks Moro. Bits of energy fly out from the point where Vegeta's foot connected. Moro tries attacking Vegeta with a blast at point-blank range, but Vegeta bends backward to dodge and then hops out of range.
Goku asks Vegeta if his new technique is... Vegeta tells him it is Forced Spirit Fission. He goes back to punching Moro, and Gohan observes that most of his attacks are landing now, and he wonders if Vegeta is somehow getting stronger. Piccolo says it looks like Moro is actually getting weaker. Then they notice that all the bits of energy flying away from Moro are gathering in a huge ball above them, and they wonder what is doing on. Vegeta kicks Moro in the gut and a big ball of energy shoots from his mouth and joins the giant ball above. Then Vegeta knocks Moro to the ground, and when he gets up, his youthful appearance has faded into old age. Moro asks Vegeta what he has done, and Jaco wonders how this is possible. Vegeta tells Moro that he has liberated all of the spirit that he stole for himself. He raises a fist and makes a gesture, and the giant ball of energy starts shooting off in all directions.
At God's Temple, Dende and the others notice the energy flying past. On Planet Yardrat, Pybara says that the energy stolen by Moro is returning to the planets it came from. Iriko watches silently, while Hatsuka cheers for Vegeta. Gohan takes the opportunity to check on Goku, who says he is fine. Piccolo asks Goku to explain this technique, and Goku tells him it can break apart things that were combined through fusion or absorption. He has never seen it used before. While Vegeta continues to beat on Moro, Piccolo asks if this is the life energy of those Moro has killed, and Vegeta says that yes, he could even extract the other Namekians that he assimilated a long time ago; does he want to try? Goku congratulates Vegeta; he was never able to learn this technique himself. Vegeta says that of course he could not; they went through the same training but Vegeta is just more talented. He is going to get the win this time.
Meanwhile, Moro is raging out and he attacks Vegeta with some sort of lightning technique, but Vegeta dodges and kicks Moro in the chest. As he continues to attack, he explains that absorption and fusion have always bothered him; it does not reflect a person's inherent power. He only wants a fair fight; Moro should stop relying on strength from others and fight with his own power. He kicks Moro away into the distance, and then suggests that Moro's own power is barely enough to keep him standing.
On the sidelines, Piccolo asks Goku if Vegeta was training on Yardrat, and Goku says that it seems like it. While the liberated energy continues to fly away from Earth, on Yardrat, Hatsuka asks Pybara if the inhabitants of those planets will be revived when their life energy returns. Pybara says that too much time has passed for most, but revival is possible for some races with potent life force. Hatsuka asks which ones, and Pybara says he can think of one... On New Namek, the Namekians begin to stir and get up, wondering what happened.
On God's Temple, Esca senses what is going on. Dende asks what is happening, and Esca tells him that he thinks a number of Namekians have returned to life. The ones Moro killed directly are still dead, but those who died when their energy was sucked away have returned. Bulma thinks this is crazy; they have been dead for months. Esca theories that the Dragon Balls they left behind must have somehow protected everyone, keeping the planet and its lifeforms from rotting.
Vegeta continues to attack, telling Moro he is going to force him to cough up every bit of energy he has stolen since his escape from prison. Piccolo asks Goku if he ever thought Vegeta could grow this much, and Goku says he did not expect him to learn this new technique or to get this strong. Piccolo clarifies that he also meant Vegeta has grown as a person. He has gone from trying to destroy the Earth to trying to protect it, and he seems to be trying to atone for his past sins, like his slaughter on Namek or the terrible things he did under Freeza, by saving the universe from Moro. Goku wonders if Vegeta is really thinking about all that, and Piccolo says it is because Goku has changed him. Goku insists he just wants to fight strong guys, and Piccolo says he does not need to change, though it looks like Vegeta managed to one-up him this time. Goku promises he will surpass him again. Jaco thinks Goku must be obsessive if he is going to train with no more bad guys to beat.
Vegeta calls out to Jaco and asks if he wants Moro captured alive, or if Vegeta should eliminate him. Jaco tells him that they were only keeping him in prison because no one could kill him, so he is happy to let Vegeta be the executioner. Vegeta tells Moro that unfortunately for him, he is not a fool like Kakarrot; Moro will regret ever breaking out of prison once he is in Hell. Moro asks Vegeta if he thinks he is not going to Hell also. Vegeta tells him that of course he is; he is still a villain. He has been prepared for the consequences for a long time, but Moro will have to wait for him down there, and once he is dead he will come by to say hello. Moro starts laughing, and Vegeta asks him what could possibly be funny. Moro says he has no intention of going to Hell; he is going to be ruling over the galaxy for eternity. Vegeta reminds him that he has no power left, but Moro says he still has his magic.
Moro gestures, and flames shoot up from the Earth where he stood. Jaco points out that Moro has flown up above. Moro lands on the deck of Saganbo's ship. Shimorekka says he does not look too good, and then Moro kills him. OG73-I is shocked, but then Moro immobilizes him, saying that fortunately he planned ahead and kept a backup inside him just in case. Vegeta flies up to see what is going on and arrives just in time to see Moro stuffing Seven-Three into his mouth. Vegeta asks what he is doing, and Moro swallows the last bite. Vegeta throws a ki ball at Moro, but Moro blocks it, and Saganbo's ship explodes. When the dust clears, Vegeta is shocked.
Goku asks what is going on; Piccolo wonders if Moro's allies were not still up there. Goku notices that Moro's ki is back to normal—no, it's bigger than it has ever been! Piccolo asks where Seven-Three is, and then he seems to realize what has happened. Vegeta plummets toward the ground; everyone rushes to check on him, and he is back in his normal form. Then, Moro descends, fully fused with Seven-Three. Goku demands to know what he has done; Piccolo says he did something to Seven-Three. Moro tells them that he had Seven-Three copy all of his combat abilities along with his magic. Gohan asks if he just absorbed Seven-Three, and Moro confirms that he did, including Seven-Three's abilities. He has been restored to his former glory, and more!
