Summary

On Beerus's planet, Whis asks Goku if he knows what the main difference is between him and the Angels. Goku guesses that it is his lack of halo. In response, Whis sets his staff spinning, knocking Goku down. Whis goes on to explain that it is the fact that Angels are always in the Ultra Instinct state, while Goku... Goku says he knows; he still has to transform to use it because his body will not just dodge on its own. Whis says it is more that Goku is conflating Ultra Instinct with a transformation. When his heart is calm, his body should be able to move on its own regardless of his form. Whis does some more tricks with his staff to demonstrate. Goku asks if he is supposed to figure out how to use Ultra Instinct in his normal form, and Whis says that yes, that will take care of the stamina problem that puts a time limit on his ability to use it. Goku agrees that is a problem. Whis tells him he can use that transformation as a last resort whenever he needs to surpass his limits.

Goku sets about meditating again, noting that this will probably take a while, but Whis thinks that he might not have much time. He calls out to Vegeta, telling him this concerns him too. Whis tells them both that they should be their own rivals when they train, always seeking to grow stronger than their past selves. Goku tells him that is the plan, and Vegeta says they do that every day, asking him if that is supposed to be some sort of clever advice. Whis tells them that something odd has happened in this universe, and Goku asks if it has something to do with them, maybe a strong enemy? Whis says he is not sure it is an enemy.

Meanwhile, Granolla arrives at Planet Cereal. He lands some distance from Monaito's house, and Oatmil asks him if he is not going to go there. Granolla explains that he cannot return until Freeza is defeated. He is going to wait here until he gets news from Elec. Oatmil asks if Monaito will be okay, and Granolla says it is fine; he can keep an eye on him from here. Oatmil realizes that Granolla's eye is even stronger now.

At the Heatas' base, Elec tells Oil and Maki that they should visit Zuno before heading to Earth. Maki asks for confirmation that they are just supposed to ask about the Saiyans; Elec says that is important but he needs them to find out a few other things. Oil says that they have the other questions written down. Maki asks if it would be okay to ask him where to find the tastiest grubrolls in the universe, and Elec tells her to go for it; she can ask about whatever as long as they follow the plan.

After they depart, Gas asks Elec how they will get the Saiyans where they want them. Elec says that is a good question for Zuno; everyone has a weakness, and whatever theirs is, they probably have the resources to exploit it. Gas then asks if all this is really necessary to deal with Granolla; Elec reminds him that Granolla is supposed to be the strongest warrior now, so yes; they have to cover their bases. Seeing that Gas is not satisfied, Elec asks him what is wrong. Gas says that he wishes Elec would have let him fight Granolla. Elec puts a hand on his shoulder and tells him that he does not doubt his strength; he might have won that fight, but he did not want to risk it. He is the only member of their family with a chance of defeating Freeza. Elec tells him to relax; events are turning in their favor. If everything goes well, when this is all over, they will rule the universe.

A few weeks later, Maki and Oil arrive on Zuno's planet. Maki is displeased to learn that Zuno requires a kiss. Zuno's attendants inform her that she may not ask a question without an offering. Oil encourages her; Elec will be mad if they come home empty-handed. Maki suggests that Oil kiss him, but Zuno's attendant tells her that Zuno will not accept a kiss from this portly man. Maki grits her teeth and gives in, kissing Zuno on the cheek. He is pleased, telling her that he likes fiesty women. He will answer ten of her questions. Oil congratulates Maki; she can definitely ask about the grubrolls. She is still not happy, but she asks Oil for Elec's notes, suggesting that Zuno should get with the times and learn about harassment.

Back on Beerus's planet, Goku continues to train with Whis, and Vegeta continues to train with Beerus. Both seem to be making great progress towards their objectives; Goku dodges Whis's staff effortlessly in his normal form, and Vegeta destroys logs that Beerus is dropping in a river over a waterfall. When Beerus sends Vegeta a giant log, he destroys a good chunk of the mountain, earning chastisement from Beerus.

More time passes. Having gotten what they wanted from Zuno, Oil and Maki finally arrive on Earth. They visit Chi-Chi to ask after Goku; spoon in hand, she asks if they are his friends, and they admit they have never met him. They just want to ask him for something. Chi-Chi tells them that he has not been home for months, so Maki suggests Chi-Chi should summon him there for them. They have heard that Goku will not defy her. Chi-Chi confesses that she was hoping he would come around soon; the money they got from Mister Satan is almost gone, and she needs him to work. Maki tells her that if it is money she needs, they have the perfect job for her husband. Chi-Chi is interested.

On Beerus's planet, Whis receives a notification from his staff. Bulma is calling to ask after Vegeta and Goku; she tells Whis that they have some guests asking for them. Vegeta asks who they are, and Bulma says they appear to be aliens, and there is some villain or another that they want Goku and Vegeta to beat for them. Goku is interested, and Chi-Chi tells him they will pay him and reminds him that he has a responsibility to provide for them. Goku tells her he will be right home, but Vegeta wants to know more. Bulma says they told her that the villain just appeared and he is the strongest in the universe, which Bulma finds hard to believe. Goku is excited to hear this, though, and asks Whis if this is the one the Oracle Fish warned them about. Whis says maybe. Bulma asks if she should send the aliens away, but Vegeta tells her he intends to fight. No one can claim the title of strongest in the universe without his permission! He tells Goku there is no need for him to come, but Goku is not having it; he is looking forward to this.

Bulma tells Maki and Oil and Goku and Vegeta will take care of this villain for them. It will take them about half an hour to reach the planet, but Maki does not mind waiting. She tells Bulma that this will save the lives of many helpless people and she is filled with relief. She asks if she can use the restroom, so Bulma points the way. Once she and Oil are out of earshot, Oil tells Maki that everything went well. She chews him out for not helping her more. But moving on...their next objective is....

Vegeta grabs onto Whis for the trip to Earth. Goku is excited; it has been too long since he has had a real battle, and after all this training, there is no way they will lose. Goku takes a moment to stretch, promising that they will see soon how his training has paid off. This irritates Beerus, so he calls out to Vegeta, telling him to take a small object and put it on his ear. He points to the clamp on his own ear and explains that it is a symbol of those who can use Destruction. Then he orders Vegeta to get out there and prove that the God of Destruction's technique is superior to Angel techniques. Vegeta accepts it, so Whis decides to put his mark on Goku's uniform again, annoying Beerus further. Beerus accuses Whis of challenging him, and Whis reminds him that he started it.

As Vegeta puts the clamp on his ear, he reassures Beerus that he has no intention of losing to Kakarrot. Goku promises he will eat those words. Whis says that while their rivalry may be mutually beneficial, but their excessive confidence might be their doom. Goku asks if this guy is really that nasty; Whis says he is not sure about that, since the guy just now appeared, but he just wanted to warn them. He cannot intervene in mortal affairs. He suggests they leave, and they take off. Beerus is happy to have some peace and quiet finally, and the Oracle Fish pretends not to care that they are gone.

At Capsule Corporation, Maki and Oil dig around in Bulma's lab until they find the Dragon Radar. Oil observes that Zuno's intel is right again, but Maki says nothing is showing up on the radar. Then she remembers that Zuno said Earth's Dragon Balls turn into stone for a year after they are used, and she figures that is what happened. Oil reminds her that Zuno also said that Cereal's Dragon Balls do not turn to stone. Maki remembers; as soon as they find them, they can use them. Chi-Chi walks past and asks them what they are doing; Maki hides the radar behind her back and asks what they can do for her. Chi-Chi tells them that the pay for this job had better not be in space currency; that stuff is useless on Earth. Maki asks her if she would accept payment in Sky Gold; she heard that was valuable on Earth. Chi-Chi says that gold will do just fine. Maki says they will pay her weight in Sky Gold, so Chi-Chi says she will have to start fattening herself up, then.

Thirty minutes later, Whis arrives on Earth to drop off Goku and Vegeta. As Whis departs, Bulma tells Maki and Oil that they have arrived, so they come out to greet the Saiyans. Goku asks if they are the people with the bad guy problem, and Maki tells him yes; hopefully they can solve this problem. Vegeta asks where to find this guy claiming to be the strongest in the universe, and Maki tells him that he is on a faraway planet; however they would be happy to bring them to his location. Goku thinks this sounds good, so Chi-Chi tells him to get out if things get too tough. He tells her he will be fine, and at least the Earth will not be in danger. Bulma tells Vegeta to be careful, too. Maki suggests they get going; Granolla is awaiting the on Planet Cereal.

In the spaceship, Maki tells Goku and Vegeta to make use of the ship's facilities. Goku is impressed with their swimming pool, but Vegeta just wants to know how long it will be before they get there. Oil tells him it will take 18 days. Goku thinks that is a long time, and asks him what their food supply is like. Oil assures him that their gourmet chef can cook anything they like. Goku is happy to hear this; he was worried they would have to eat bland space food again. Maki tells him not to hesitate to ask for anything he needs. Vegeta is suspicious, though; if they are a tribe under attack from a destructive villain, how do they have this luxurious spaceship? Maki tells him that they made sure to procure the best for the warriors who will be their saviors. Vegeta says he is happy to be able to train, but Goku wants to start with food. Goku eats while Vegeta trains underwater in the pool.

Meanwhile, Maki calls Granolla and apologizes for making him wait. He tells her that he was running out of patience. Does she have Freeza's location? She tells him that yes, they finally found him. Granolla wants to leave now, but Maki tells him that their scouting crew screwed up and let it slip that Granolla was going after Freeza, so Freeza is sending two of his assassins to Cereal now. Granolla is not displeased about this; he can get Freeza's location from them whenever they arrive. Maki likes the sound of this, and she lets Granolla know that the assassins are Saiyans. Granolla is shocked to hear that there were survivors, but Oil says that is what they heard, and besides, Granolla can handle them. Maki tells him they will be in touch and hangs up. She and Oil celebrate this victory, noting that Granolla really perked up at the mention of Saiyans.

Granolla exits his ship to wait for the Saiyans. He looks toward his hometown, remembering what they did to him, realizing that the Saiyans would be coming here again after so many years. At long last, revenge will be his.
