After their battle with Freeza, Kuririn has a new girlfriend named Maron, and peaceful days continued on Earth. But Garlic Jr., who Goku and the others had sealed in the Dead Zone in the past, is revived! Attacking the Heavenly Realm with the Four Heavenly Kings, he seals God and Mister Popo within small bottles. Garlic Jr. then pours the Aqua Mist down from the Heavenly Realm, which turns people into members of the Demon Clan.
In addition to using the Dragon Balls to revive his father Garlic, Garlic Jr. plots to change people into Demon Clansmen and rule the entire world. Garlic Jr.’s revival is due to Planet Makyō’s approach, which raised up his dormant power. What’s more, after 24 hours have passed, even drinking the Super Holy Water won’t restore anyone to normal. Shielding Gohan from Piccolo’s attacks, Kuririn is bitten?! But all of a sudden Piccolo steals the small bottles with God and Mister Popo from Garlic Jr. Learning of Piccolo and Kuririn’s deception, Garlic Jr. is furious!
Gohan smashes through Garlic Jr.’s stomach, but this doesn’t defeat him, since Garlic Jr. had previously obtained eternal life through the Dragon Balls. Garlic Jr. is furious that his plan to turn people into Demon Clansmen has been smashed by God and Mister Popo, and he creates another Dead Zone and tries to suck in the Heavenly Realm. Kuririn and Piccolo attack Garlic Jr. as a distraction, and at that instant, Gohan hits Planet Makyō, causing it to explode.
