Butta is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Butta makes his debut in Chapter 272, published in the 1990 #21/22 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Biography
Early Life
Butta's mother was very strict, making him do all the household chores and slapping him if he was late preparing dinner, but because of this he became the fastest in the universe.[2]
My mother was incredibly strict. She made me do all the laundry and cleaning!! And she'd slap me silly if I was ever late with groceries!! Oh well, thanks to all that I became the fastest in the universe.

Name
Butta's name (バータ/Bāta) comes from the English word "butter" (バター/batā). Toriyama changed the location of the elongated vowel.
