Vegeta, Jr. is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball GT television series. Vegeta, Jr. makes his one and only appearance in episode 64 of the Dragon Ball GT television series.

Biography

Vegeta, Jr., a descendant of Vegeta, fights his way (off-screen) to the final bout of the junior division match at a Tenka'ichi Budokai one hundred years after the fight against Yi Xing Long.[1] His opponent is Son Goku, Jr., whose gi he arrogantly notes as being dirty. Following this brief banter and their initial attacks, Vegeta, Jr. goes Super Saiyan, prompting Goku, Jr. to do the same.[2]

Vegeta, Jr.'s mother (unnamed in the episode or supplementary reference material) watches the final match from the stands.

Name

Vegeta, Jr.'s name follows Son Goku, Jr. in being named for their respective Saiyan ancestors; as such, his name is also a play on "vegetable", dropping the final syllables and elongating one syllable within ベジタブル (bejitaburu) to form ベジータ (bejīta).

Notable Skills

  • Bukūjutsu: Vegeta, Jr. is capable of flight, fighting against Goku, Jr. in mid-air.
  • Super Saiyan: Vegeta, Jr. is able to transform into a Super Saiyan.

Performance

Vegeta, Jr. is played by Ryō Horikawa, who has played all incarnations of Vegeta in the Dragon Ball franchise.

Notable Appearances

Vegeta, Jr. appears exclusively in episode 64 of the Dragon Ball GT television series.
