Mister Satan is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Mister Satan makes his debut in chapter 393, published in the 1992 #44 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Biography
Mister Satan was born in the year Age 736, under the name of Mark. When he was young, he trained in a martial arts dojo called Satan Castle and through a combination of his strength and good luck, he obtained the title of world champion and took on the name Mr. Satan after his dojo. Satan and his master once encountered Tao Pai Pai at a bar in South City, and insulted his hairstyle. The assassin retaliated by killing Satan's master and leaving Satan himself heavily wounded, which lead to Satan avoiding future confrontations with strangers or dangerously strong people.
At some point in his life, Satan married a singer named Miguel and together they had a daughter, Videl, in Age 757. Through unknown circumstances, Satan and his wife were separated and he raised Videl together with his servants.
In May Age 767, Mister Satan competed in the 24th Tenka'ichi Budōkai and came out as the victor. Later that month, Cell appeared and held the Cell Games, which Satan also attended with little effect. Following the defeat of Cell by Son Gohan, Satan took all the public credit for the deed.
