Arak is a fictional character in the Japanese animated television series Dragon Ball Super and its companion manga series written by Toyotarō. Arak makes his debut in Dragon Ball Super Episode 78, broadcast on 12 February 2017 on Fuji TV, as the God of Destruction of Universe Five.

Biography

Arak tries to expand his universe's potential through the smallest possible amount of destruction by thoroughly investigating what he should target.[2]

Name

Arak's name likely derives from | Arak (アラック/*arakku*), a traditional Middle Eastern anise-flavored beverage distilled from grapes and grapevines. It should be noted that in some instances, Arak is also written in katakana as アラク, the same as the character’s name.

Performance

Arak is voiced by Taishi Murata whose roles include Kaiōshin Kai of Universe 11 in Dragon Ball Super.
