Summary

Iwaza, Miza, and Kikaza are laid out on the ground after their fusion was defeated by Goku. The Turtle Hermit tells Goku that it sure took long enough for him to show up. Kuririn says they have been wondering when he would show, and Goku tells him it was easy to pick up on his ki signature. He asks where everyone else is, and Kuririn explains that they are fighting escaped prisoners all around the globe. As the Galactic Patrol agents pack up the defeated girls, the Turtle Hermit offers to help carry them, and Kuririn tells Goku they are good here, so he should go check on everyone else. Before Goku takes off, Kuririn asks him if he thinks he can beat Moro now. Goku thinks he can; that is what his training was all about. And they really need to beat him. Goku still does not know much about him and worries he could be hiding some of his power. Kuririn asks if he is worried, and Goku says he is super excited. Then he disappears. Kuririn is reassured to the see the Goku he knows and loves.

Next, Goku finds Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chiaotzu, and he takes care of Zauyogi for them. Goku looks over at where the Galactic Patrol agents are taking care of the other prisoners. Goku asks his friends if they beat those guys, and Yamcha says that even they could handle those weaklings... but Gohan and the others might need him.

Indeed, Gohan and Piccolo are struggling with the souped-up Saganbo.[a] From the sidelines, a beat-up No. 18 says they are not being paid enough for this,[b] and No. 17 says he was not expecting this kind of fight. Despite their best efforts, Piccolo and Gohan are knocked into the dirt. Jaco tries shaming Saganbo for becoming Moro's lapdog, but Saganbo says he is loyal to Moro because he saved them from Galactic Prison, and he has given them enough power to ensure that they will never be captured again. Jaco thinks this explains how the convicts got so strong. He tells Saganbo that what he is doing now is way more pathetic than being locked up. Saganbo gets angry, and Jaco insists it was just a joke. But before he can take out his anger on Jaco, he gets punched.

Saganbo continues to get pummeled by an invisible person; everyone is confused, but then Gohan realizes that his father has arrived at last! Piccolo says he cannot see him or sense his ki; Jaco is surprised they cannot see him, but then, his vision is his one strong suit. He reminds them that just because he can keep track does not mean he can fight like that. Piccolo asks why they cannot sense his ki, and Gohan suggests that maybe he is moving too fast for them to lock onto it. Piccolo wonders what new level Goku might have reached.

Meanwhile, Moro has realized that one of his two main foes has arrived, the one who used teleportation on Namek. He tells Goku to reveal himself. Goku grabs Saganbo and flings him toward Moro, but Moro shoots Saganbo into the distance with a blast from his fingers. Goku tells Moro that he was hoping to defeat him right off the bat but he supposes it will not be that simple. Moro observes that Goku has gotten stronger, and Goku says he is not the same guy who fought him before. Moro is happy to hear this.

Suddenly Saganbo gets up, alarming Gohan and Piccolo, and surprising Goku. Saganbo tells Moro that he can still fight. Moro asks Goku who he would prefer to fight, but Goku tells Saganbo that all of his friends have been recaptured so he should give up and go back to Galactic Prison. Saganbo refuses, so Goku tells Moro to stick around, because he is next. Then he teleports over to Gohan and Piccolo; he apologizes to Gohan for making him have to fight again, but Gohan thinks he should be the one to apologize for not being enough to protect the Earth. Goku thinks this is silly; he can tell they have been training hard. Piccolo says there is not much point in training if they cannot defend the Earth, and he wonders aloud when it was that Goku got so far ahead of them. Goku ignores the question and tells them to let him handle this one, so they jump away.

Moro is excited to see the extent of Goku's power. Then Goku powers up to Super Saiyan Blue, and Moro wonders why he is using the blue-haired form. Saganbo attacks, and Goku blocks him effortlessly, punching him once in the gut and then kicking him into a rock. Saganbo rebounds and comes back at Goku, hitting him with a knee. Goku compliments his sturdiness and then kicks him into the air, appearing above him. As he knocks Saganbo back to the ground, he tells him that being sturdy is not enough to beat him. Saganbo crashes, and Piccolo thinks Goku's training has paid off; he is much stronger in this form than the last time they saw him.

Goku tells Moro that it is over; Saganbo will not get up again. He asks Moro if he is ready, but Moro tells him to look behind him. Saganbo has gotten back up, and Goku asks how that is possible. Gohan wonders if he is somehow even stronger than before. Jaco realizes that Moro must have given him another power boost when he shot him away earlier with his finger guns. Moro asks Saganbo is he is still ready to fight, and Saganbo says that of course he is. Moro says he will grant him some more power, then, and he shoots Saganbo with his finger gun from a distance. As Saganbo contorts under the strain of this latest dose, Goku warns Moro that Saganbo's body is at its limit; he has to stop pumping him up with his power. Saganbo attacks, and Goku warns him too; if he keeps this up his body will be wrecked.

On the sidelines, Moro tells Goku that he wants to see "that technique" again; he was not in this blue-haired form when he used those high-speed moves earlier. He will force Saganbo to continue fighting until Goku shows him that form; to demonstrate, he pumps Saganbo with even more energy. Goku tries attacking Moro to stop him, but Moro blocks him. Goku promises to show him what he wants to see up close and personal. On the field, Saganbo protests; Goku is his to defeat. But then his body finally gives out under the strain and he collapses, dead. Moro finds it pathetic that he could not even withstand that bit of power.

Goku asks Moro if that was not his friend, and Moro says he does not have friends; those were his soldiers. He may have lost these, but he can always collect more. Goku angrily calls him a scumbag and Moro says he can think whatever he likes. Goku says he is ready to show him the power he gained just to beat him, and Moro is pleased. Goku closes his eyes and powers up, and Moro recognizes that this is no mortal ability. Goku tells him that is right; it is the first stage of the technique of the gods: Ultra Instinct Omen!
