Kung-Fun is a fictional character in the ninth Dragon Ball Z film, The Galaxy at the Brink!! The Super Incredible Guy. Kung-Fun is shown on a monitors and in other similar visuals during the film, but is never directly shown participating.

Biography

Display of Tenka'ichi Dai Budōkai semi-finalists in Dragon Ball Z Movie 9

Kung-Fun is kenpō practitioner[1] who makes it to the semi-finals at the Tenka'ichi Dai Budōkai[2], but is defeated off-screen by Dosukoi courtesy of his amazing utchari.[3]

Name

Kung-Fun's name is likely a play on "kung-fu."

Performance

As Kung-Fun never directly appears on-screen and therefore has no speaking roles, no voice actor has portrayed him.

Notable Appearances

Kung-Fun appears exclusively in Dragon Ball Z Movie 9.

Tidbits

The FUNimation dub of Movie 9 replaces Kung-Fun with a similar looking character from earlier in the series, Tenlong (called "Sky Dragon" in their dub). Tenlong had been a martial artist that Goku encountered many years earlier, thus making him a recurring character rather than a one-off. As Kung-Fun had no speaking role and is never depicted fighting, this adjustment was in dialog only.
