Spopovitch is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series by Akira Toriyama. Spopovitch makes his debut in chapter 438, published in the 1993 #41 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump.
Biography

Spopovitch is a martial artist who takes part in the 24th Tenka'ichi Budōkai, losing to Mister Satan[2] in the first round.[3] At some point within the next seven years,[3] the Dark Mage Bobbidi recruits Spopovitch by magically manipulating the evil in his heart,[4] changing his appearance[5] and raising his power significantly.[6]
Bobbidi sends him off with Yamu to collect energy in order to revive Majin Boo.[7] Yamu and Spopovitch enter the 25th Tenka'ichi Budōkai, bringing an energy-measuring device to detect which fighters possess a satisfactory amount of energy.[8] In the third match of the Adult Division, Spopovitch faces Videl and takes his time beating her up, upsetting the audience. Videl fights back desperately, kicking him so hard that his neck seemingly breaks. To everyone's surprise, however, Spopovitch is not dead and pulls his head back around.[6] Spopovitch keeps toying with Videl, who refuses to surrender, so Yamu steps in to tell Spopovitch he should get the match over with, reminding him of their purpose.[9]
Yamu and Spopovitch check their energy-measuring device during the fourth match between Kibito and Son Gohan,[8] but it does not detect anything significant until Gohan powers up and reveals a tremendous amount of power. Yamu and Spopovitch spring into action; Spopovitch holds Gohan in place while Yamu drains his energy with an energy suction device.[10] They fly off, abandoning the tournament and taking the energy back to Bobbidi. Their master gladly takes the energy, but also says he has no more use for them and promptly makes Spopovitch grotesquely swell up and explode.[4]
